France and Mali have suspended the issue of visas to each other’s nationals by their respective consular services in Bamako and Paris, against a backdrop of high bilateral and regional tensions, according to diplomatic sources quoted by AFP.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, France was the first country to suspend the issue of visas, having placed the whole of Mali, including Bamako, in a red zone, “formally inadvisable to travellers<\/em>“.<\/p>\n
