Slovakia’s Prime Minister transported to the capital with gunshot wounds

Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico has been treated for gunshot wounds in a hospital in Handlova and is now on his way to the capital Bratislava, the director of the hospital in the central Slovak town told AFP on Wednesday.

“Mr. Fico was brought to our hospital and was treated in our vascular surgery unit,” said Marta Eckhardtova. “The Prime Minister was then taken out of our hospital and is on his way to Bratislava,” she said.
